C7 chord on guitar (C dominant seventh)

How to play C7

Numbers are fingers: 1 index to 4 little

  1. Your ring finger on the A string at the 3rd fret.
  2. Your middle finger on the D string at the 2nd fret.
  3. Your little finger on the G string at the 3rd fret.
  4. Your index finger on the B string at the 1st fret.
  5. Let the high E string ring open.
  6. Don't play the low E string: start your strum on the A string.

Play it as x 3 5 3 5 3, a barre at the 3rd fret. Switch the guitar's chord level from Standard to Up to hear it.

  1. Lay your index finger flat across the A to the high E string at the 3rd fret.
  2. Your ring finger on the D string at the 5th fret.
  3. Your little finger on the B string at the 5th fret.
  4. Don't play the low E string: start your strum on the A string.
